Q: What requirements are there for the CD in terms of folders, picture format, etc?
A:In order to process your CD, it must meet the following requirements:
- All picture files are in JPEG (.jpg) format.
- The CD contains only one folder, with all the pictures in it.
- Although this is not a requirement, we highly recommend that your pictures be of high resolution at least 1024×768.
- The CD must be sent in along with the Mail-in CD service form.
We also strongly recommend packaging the CD in such a way that it won't get damaged in transit. Please note that CDs will not be returned.

Q: How do I use the mail-in CD service?
A: To use the mail-in CD service, use our mail-in CD form and send it with your CD to the address listed on that page. Once we receive your CD, we will add the pictures to your account within one to two business days.
Your pictures will be added to a single album (titled with the date on which they were added), and you will be notified. At that point, you can move pictures to different albums, or you can share them, order prints, etc.

Q: How should I package my CD for mailing?
A:Shutterfly is not responsible if your CD gets damaged (or lost or delayed) in transit to us. Therefore, be sure to:
- Provide sufficient postage on your package.
- Write your return address on the envelope.
To protect your CD, we recommend putting it in a plastic jewel case or clamshell case before putting it into an envelope.
We also recommend that you use a padded or cardboard envelope to cushion your CD against damage during shipment. (Many stationery, postal, and office-supply stores sell envelopes/packaging specially designed for shipping CDs.) Please note that CDs will not be returned to you.
Don't forget, the CD must be sent in along with the Mail-in CD service form.
