Q: Where can I find out when my special offers expire?
A: Special offers do have varying expiration dates, after which they will not appear in your account. You can always check on your special offers by clicking ‘View Special Offers’ on the My Shutterfly page. The My Special Offers page lists all active offers you can receive. If your special offer is not listed, it has expired, or you have already been rewarded the discount associated with it.
Note that on the “My special offers” page, you can also add your discount offer codes.

Q: Can I extend a special offer?
A: Special offers cannot be extended. However, new special offers are continually being offered to existing Shutterfly members.

Q: When does Shutterfly offer discounts or special offers?
A: From time to time, Shutterfly will offer discounts and special offers on our products and services. Special offers available to all Shutterfly customers are often automatically applied to your account, while other special offers require that you enter a special offer code before any discounts take effect.

Q: How can I redeem my free prints and other special offers?
A: Most of our sales, promotions, and special offers are activated in your account automatically. You don’t need to enter them. (Be sure to check the terms of the promotion to find out if this is the case.)
If the promotion does require you to enter a code, you can easily do this. First, sign in to your Shutterfly account. You will be on the ‘My Shutterfly ’ page. On that page, look for the ‘Special offers’ section. To enter a special offer code, click the ‘Enter a special offer code’ link, then enter the code and click the ‘Add’ button. Or to simply view the active offers in your account, click the ‘View special offers’ link. (You can click on a special offer to read about its terms and conditions.)

Q: I placed my order after the sale ended. Can I still get the discount?
A: We work hard to make sure that when we have a sale, the start and end times are clearly indicated, on the sale pages on the site as well as in the terms and conditions listed. Our system is highly automated, and we cannot apply sale prices to orders placed after the sale expires.
We do have sales every so often; if you would like to get advance notice of these sales, then you can easily do so by adjusting your email preferences to receive such notifications. To do this, just sign in to your account, click the ‘Personal info/settings’ link on the My Shutterfly page, and then click the ‘Edit email preferences’ link. Select the notification options you would like and click ‘save’.

Q: How can I check on my currently active special offers?
A: If you have any active special offers, there will be a link on the My Shutterfly page that says ‘View special offers’. (It’s listed in the ‘Special offers’ section.) Click this link; then on the “My special offers” page, view the special offers listed. Each listing includes a description, start and end dates, and the number of free prints.

Q: Do I need to enter a special offer code? How can I tell?
A: You need to enter the special offer code if you received it by email. Just copy and paste it into the special offer code box when you order. If you sign in as a Shutterfly member, your current special offers will be applied automatically when you order. You can always check on your special offers by clicking ‘View special offers’ on the My Shutterfly page. The “My special offers” page lists all active special offers in your account. You can also add new special offer codes by clicking the “My special offers” link.
We may occasionally extend offers that work differently; for example, offer codes may be automatically inserted into your account, or may be triggered by a button on a particular page. (If this is the case, we will of course provide instructions.)

Q: Where can I get a special offer code?
A: Special offers and other promotions are emailed out periodically to our customers. You can receive them simply by being on our customer contact list. To be sure that you receive yours, make sure that you have a valid Shutterfly account, and make sure that your account is set to receive such offers. To make sure you have this set in your account, go to My Shutterfly, click the ‘Personal info/settings’ link, and then update “My email preferences”.

Q: Can I choose which special offer is applied?
A: If you have more than one special offer in your account, the system will automatically choose one (or more) to apply when you place an order. You can review and select the special offers that are applied to an order by clicking on ‘Discounts’ or ‘Review my discounts’ at the top of the Order summary page. You can then choose which special offers you want to apply to your order. If the box next to the discount is checked, then this offer was applied. To remove the discount from this order, uncheck the box.
Note that some offers can not be combined together. Read the terms and conditions for each special offer for additional details.

Q: I’m paying with a check/money order. Which promotions/sales will be applied to my order?
A: When you place your order and pay with a check/money order, the dollar total of your order will include any applicable discounts from sales or promotions. Please note that if we have different sales or promotions available when we receive your payment, they will NOT be applied to your order. Only discounts available at the time of your order can be included in that order.
If you pay with a check/money order and your promotion includes any free prints to be added to your account, please check the Terms & Conditions of your promotion for information on when the prints will be added to your account.
Please also note that our promotions are time-sensitive, so be sure to send in your check/money order promptly so that you can take full advantage of any awarded prints before they expire. Be sure to check the Terms & Conditions of your promotion for information on activation/expiration dates.

Q: Where will the special offer discounts be deducted?
A: Discounts for active special offers are taken during the last step of the checkout process. These discounts will appear - and your total will be automatically adjusted - on the Review Order page. On this page, be sure your updated total is correct before you place your order.

Q: How do I enter a special offer code?
A: If you have a special offer code from Shutterfly or one of our partners, then click the ‘Enter a special offer code’ link on the My Shutterfly page. (It’s listed under “Special offers”.) On the “Special offers” page, click the link to enter the special offer code and then click ‘Add’.

Q: Can I use multiple special offers on the same order?
A: Many special offers can indeed be combined. A few types of special offers, however (e.g., percentage discounts) are restricted in use, and only one can be used per order. Our system will allow you to combine those that can be combined.
If you are unable to combine particular discounts, this is because they are restricted in use, as mentioned above. If this occurs, or if you are unable to qualify for special offers at check-out, please check the terms and conditions of the discount or special offer for details of their conditions, restrictions, and requirements.
