Heifer International is a nonprofit, humanitarian organization dedicated to ending hunger and poverty and caring for the Earth. Since 1944, Heifer has provided livestock and training for families to improve nutrition and earn income for health care, shelter and education. Each gift multiplies as recipients "pass on the gift" by giving one or more of their animals' offspring and knowledge to another family in need.
