Data Warehouse Marketing Solutions Architect

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary business contact for developing mission critical marketing analytics and automation solutions through the data warehouse infrastructure.
• Own overall data and information architecture for all marketing analytic systems and dependent boundary applications, including customer marketing system and interactions with Shutterfly e-Commerce website.
• Coordinate and plan resources to execute analytics and automation solutions for the customer and product marketing teams.
• Coordinate and optimize infrastructure to ensure scalability of ETL and analytics.

Specific knowledge, application, technical, educational, and/or management skills required to perform duties as specified:

• Demonstrated responsibility for broad system architectures spanning a variety of analytic and operational marketing systems.
• Thorough experience in applying data warehouse best practices across web tracking methodologies; ETL processes, ODS, EDW, and data mart design; and business intelligence delivery and end user adoption.
• Strong SQL/ETL skills, programming stored procedures; commercial experience with Oracle.
• Hands-on experience architecting enterprise BI solutions (eg Cognos, Hyperion, Business Objects, Microstrategy).
• Experience with ETL tools (eg Informatica, DataStage).
• Web analytics, tracking strategies, and exposure to 3rd party tracking systems (eg Omniture, Coremetrics) strongly preferred.
• Experience with Marketing Campaign Management Systems, CRM, and OLAP desirable.
• Aptitude and interest in business analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to gather requirements from business owners and propose and design broadly applicable marketing systems and processes.
• Excellent communication and personal skills: ability to interact and work well with marketing on a regular basis.
• Minimum of 7 years experience.
• BS / MS in Computer Science desirable.
