Director of Investor Relations

The Director of Investor Relations will play a key role in the development, implementation and management of Shutterfly’s investor relations and communications. The position will partner closely with Shutterfly’s senior management, internal legal counsel, and corporate communications, finance and accounting teams. The successful candidate will be strategic, a strong communicator and passionate about Shutterfly and our product & service offerings. The position will be an individual contributor role and will report to the Vice President of Finance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute Shutterfly’s investor relations program
  • Manage relationships with existing and potential institutional investors and sell-side analysts including target, relationship building, and tracking; handle routine request for information form analysts and investors
  • Lead quarterly earnings release process, including development of the earnings press release, conference call scripts, slides and Q&A’s; also will provide leadership in the development of key themes and issues to be presented
  • Track, manage and summarize earnings estimates, analyst reports and compilation of analyst financial models
  • Lead planning and management for all investor relations events, including analyst meetings, conferences and presentations
  • Generate and analyze periodic reports on investor activity for senior management
  • Work with Senior Management to understand investor perceptions
  • Provide peer analysis and competitive intelligence
  • Maintain Shutterfly’s Investor Relations website, calendars, scheduling, etc.
  • Collaborate with Shutterfly’s Corporate Communications team in creating the company’s external and internal messages

Experience & Requirements:

  • B.S. degree in finance or accounting; MBA preferred and CFA desired
  • 6-10 years experience, including sell-side or buy-side research and corporate IR experience
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills with the ability to convey company strategy and messaging
  • Excellent financial, investment, Excel modeling and Powerpoint skills are assumed
  • Possess a high level of integrity and sensitivity to confidential information
  • An energetic and resourceful team player who can roll up their sleeves
  • Ability to travel
  • Able to work in a fast pace, high-growth environment
