Vice President, Share and Groups

Tom McGannon is Vice President of Share and Groups responsible for developing the social components of the Shutterfly website. Tom brings more than 20 years of experience founding start-up companies and leading operations teams.

Tom joined Shutterfly from Nexo, which he co-founded in 2005 to allow groups of people to share photos, videos, files and other content. Prior to Nexo, Tom founded and was Vice President of Operations of Octopus.com, a web information dashboard that aggregates business data and was acquired by Ask.com. Prior to Octopus.com, he founded Metropolis Software, a sales-automation software company, and Technalysis Services, a real estate service.

Tom earned a Bachelors of Science in mechanical engineering and Bachelors of Arts in history from Stanford University.

Tom enjoys outdoor activities including trail running, skiing, golfing and coaching his four children’s sports teams.
