Vice President, Product Engineering

Jerry Ko is Vice President of Product Engineering, responsible for defining, developing and executing the company’s product engineering strategy. Jerry joins Shutterfly with over 20 years of software development and executive management experience at some of Silicon Valley’s most successful companies.

Jerry most recently served as Vice President of Engineering at InQuira, Inc. where was responsible for the complete product line including intelligent search, web marketing and knowledge management products. Previously, at Open Harbor, Inc., Jerry developed the next generation architecture and products for mission-critical, Internet-based global trade management services to automate international trade processes. During his tenure as Vice President of Engineering at Escalate, Inc., Jerry helped define the product roadmap for E-Commerce/supply chain services and built an engineering organization that delivered five major project releases in just four years. Prior to Escalate, Jerry held a variety of management and development roles at Netscape Communications, NetFrame Systems, Hal Computers, Pyramid Technology and Hewlett-Packard.

Jerry earned his Masters degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Davis. In his free time Jerry and family like to travel, hiking, video editing and taking pictures with Canon S80 camera.
