Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer

Peter Elarde is Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, responsible for all facets of the Shutterfly’s marketing efforts including customer and brand marketing, ecommerce, product management, user experience, creative services, and corporate communications. Peter joined Shutterfly in 2001 and most recently served as Vice President of the Services Business and Vice President of Product Marketing.

With more than 15 years of technology marketing and development experience, Peter was previously Vice President of Product Development for Achieva.com, a provider of online college prep programs. Before that, he was Vice President of Marketing and Sales with Tom Snyder Productions, a leading publisher of educational software, and spent several years with The Learning Company and Bain & Company.

Peter earned his BS in electrical engineering from Yale University and his MBA from Stanford University. In his free time, Peter enjoys running, biking, and spending time with family including snapping photos of his two young children with his Nikon D50.
